( this post is permanently open for can cry's players to use. every new thread is a new page in the journal; replies to a thread add to that page, so characters can affectionately vandalise each others' pages. the journal is kept in the Executor House and is always accessible. characters can leave notes about themselves or each other, things that happen in the game or things they've remembered about their lives. or just stupid garbage. go wild! )

The story so far.
I know it's a silly title. I just wanted to keep the first few pages of the journal for us to record what we've done as a group since we woke up in Limbo. This way, we'll never forget how far we've come and the things we've accomplished here.

Limbo

• We all woke up without any memories. All we knew is that we were dead and this is the afterlife, so we tried to investigate the area and some of us found the Underside.
• The Underside is below the Layer, where Revenants are.
• Revenants are monsters. Sorry. I keep realising that these are words that wouldn't make sense if we all lost our memories.
• We met Rei and she gave us all the choice to become Executors, who fight Revenants to protect the people in the afterlife who aren't aware like we are. We're trying to help her fix whatever has gone wrong in the afterlife, because people are stuck here when they should be moving on.
• Our house is in Limbo. That's very important. It's not as big as the mansion in Invidia but I like it.

Invidia

• Invidia is the next Layer after Limbo. It means envy.
• It's a big city with a lot of lights and noise. You can trade for things from the shops there.
• There was a young woman named Esme here who was awake like we are and had influence over Invidia. This was the first Authority we met.
• Authorities control a Layer and they have to let us pass for us to keep going down. It's something that can be transferred to someone else if you defeat the Authority or they agree to give it up.
• Esme didn't want to let us through because she doesn't want to move on when the afterlife is fixed. She invited us to a meeting and poisoned the food. Medic looked after everybody who got sick.
• To get the Authority, we had to weaken Esme's hold over Invidia. The girls made an idol group to challenge her popularity and some of the others exposed Esme's secrets to the audience.
• We succeeded but Esme turned into a Revenant and fled to the Underside, so we had to go after her and fight her. [ hastily amended: ] Obviously we won.

I got to do a concert! It turns out I can't sing.

I can rap pretty well, though!

Avaritia

• Avaritia is the Layer after Invidia, and it means greed. It's a little similar to Invidia, but people care more about money there. There's a big bank and a casino.
• It took a while to find the Authority. We had to chase a lot of rumours and lure her out.
• The Authority was Greta, and she was the person with the most money in Avaritia. We had to take her money to get the Authority from her.
• The plan was pretty big. It was fun. We split into three groups and staged two distractions while the third team got into her bank account. One distraction was making a big scene by winning at the casino, and the other was a heist at the bank vaults.
• Greta turned into a Revenant after she lost Authority just like Esme, so we had to fight in the Underside again. We won.

It was not fun, I was stuck with that insufferable piece of rubbish, Sword.

Superbia

• Superbia is below Avaritia. It means pride.
• It's a high school. The school is big, but there's nothing else there.
• When we got there, we couldn't go back up to the previous layers and we were stuck in a loop. After a certain amount of time, we would go back to when we first arrived in Superbia, and eventually we had less and less time before things would reset.
• I'll write the rest down later. We only just got back so I'm a little tired and still trying to figure out everything that happened.

This is a list of all the members of the Executors right now. I've crossed out the names of anyone we've lost track of or who stayed behind on another Layer, and included new names we've given ourselves since waking. We'll have to update this page every time someone joins or leaves.

Hello, this is Mona. To be honest, I wanted to start off by writing about myself, or the other Executors. But when I think about memories I don't want to lose, I think about the people I knew while I was alive, so I'm going to write down what I know about them first. I drew pictures because I don't want to forget their faces either, even if my drawings of them aren't very good.

There are a lot of things I still don't remember, but I know the days we spent together made me happier than anything else. All of them taught me things that I'm still using now in the afterlife. Even if I'm here, I hope that all of them were able to lead long and happy lives.

ARSÈNE LUPIN

• A talented gentleman thief from France who was operating in Steel London when I knew him.
• He had black hair and golden eyes, and I remember him usually wearing a red coat with a top hat. He had a cane, too, but that was a secret weapon.
• Lupin was always very charming and reliable. He had a lot of confidence, and he liked to brag about himself, but that was endearing in its own way. I'm sure he was the leader of our group, even if I can't remember why we were together.
• Ruin reminded me of him, a little. Both of them were charming in a way that put me at ease.
• He taught me lockpicking and tricks to escape. Once, we played a game where I had to run away before he could catch me, but he won so easily.
• I always wanted to catch up to him someday. I want wanted Lupin to be proud of me.

COUNT SAINT-GERMAIN

• A wealthy nobleman who let us stay in his mansion in Steel London.
• He had white hair and pale blue eyes. His clothes were very expensive-looking, and he often had a top hat like Lupin did, but Saint-Germain's was decorated with enormous white feathers.
• Saint-Germain was always serene and smiling... But I think that maybe he was very sad sometimes.
• He was a very mysterious person, too. Even though I didn't know much about him in the memories I have, he made me feel really safe.
• His sense of humour was strange. He said that the reason he let us stay with him was because we amused him?
• Very flattering. He treated me like I was a fancy noble lady he was escorting.
• Saint-Germain was the first person I remembered in Purgatory. I've always thought that Chiron is similar to him in a lot of ways. I know how they're different now, but I suppose that's why I stuck to Chiron so quickly back then.

VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN

• Doctor Frankenstein. All of us just called him Fran.
• He had light orange-brown hair that was a little curly and green eyes. He wore round glasses and he always had a white lab coat over his normal clothes.
• He taught me first aid, but I know he was an alchemist, not a medical doctor.
• He was so clever and he knew so much about alchemy, and about science in Steel London. In my memories, I never wondered why someone so impressive was teaching me, but now I can't remember why that was.
• Fran was... warm. I don't know if I've met anyone else who has that same feeling of gentle warmth that he did... Maybe if Monarch had been older?
• I think he and Medic would have been funny to see together. Both of them make me excited to learn more, but Fran was such a nervous man.

IMPEY BARBICANE

• An engineer and a genius inventor who was close friends with Lupin.
• He had long bright red hair that he kept in a braid, and bright green eyes. I rarely saw him out of his orange mechanic jumpsuit. I guess he was always working on something.
• Impey is a little hard to describe. He was very vibrant. And loud.
• He flirted a lot. I don't know if he was ever serious about it... I never really knew how to respond. Actually, I'm still not sure. I'm sorry, Impey.
• But I wasn't uncomfortable with him. He was fun to be around, and he showed me a lot of amazing things. I drove a car, and flew in an ornithopter. I learnt to appreciate the world around me in a different way.
• Even now, I think of Impey whenever I see the train that runs through Purgatory. Back before I had my memories, I felt very drawn to the steam train in Limbo. I'd like to think that some part of me still remembered everything Impey taught me.

ABRAHAM VAN HELSING

• A war hero. I can't remember what war he fought in... or why someone like that was with our strange group.
• He had blonde hair and blue eyes with rectangular glasses. He dressed in a military coat over a suit and he was always carrying a shotgun with him.
• The man who taught me how to fight.
• He always said the most important thing was to know when to give up and when to run away, just like Lupin did. Fighting was only to protect myself.
• I don't know if I ever understood Van Helsing, but I know he was a good person. Even though he was curt and didn't like to socialise, he still treated me like a lady, and he made sure I never got hurt in a lesson with him.
• I think he was far kinder than he wanted people to believe. I'm certain that I was never afraid of him, and I know he would have protected me.
• Lion and Sword both remind me of him sometimes. That might be why I was never intimidated by Lion, even in the beginning.
