EXECUTOR JOURNAL.

The story so far.

I know it's a silly title. I just wanted to keep the first few pages of the journal for us to record what we've done as a group since we woke up in Limbo. This way, we'll never forget how far we've come and the things we've accomplished here.

Limbo

  • We all woke up without any memories. All we knew is that we were dead and this is the afterlife, so we tried to investigate the area and some of us found the Underside.
  • The Underside is below the Layer, where Revenants are.
  • Revenants are monsters. Sorry. I keep realising that these are words that wouldn't make sense if we all lost our memories.
  • We met Rei and she gave us all the choice to become Executors, who fight Revenants to protect the people in the afterlife who aren't aware like we are. We're trying to help her fix whatever has gone wrong in the afterlife, because people are stuck here when they should be moving on.
  • Our house is in Limbo. That's very important. It's not as big as the mansion in Invidia but I like it.

Invidia
  • Invidia is the next Layer after Limbo. It means envy.
  • It's a big city with a lot of lights and noise. You can trade for things from the shops there.
  • There was a young woman named Esme here who was awake like we are and had influence over Invidia. This was the first Authority we met.
  • Authorities control a Layer and they have to let us pass for us to keep going down. It's something that can be transferred to someone else if you defeat the Authority or they agree to give it up.
  • Esme didn't want to let us through because she doesn't want to move on when the afterlife is fixed. She invited us to a meeting and poisoned the food. Medic looked after everybody who got sick.
  • To get the Authority, we had to weaken Esme's hold over Invidia. The girls made an idol group to challenge her popularity and some of the others exposed Esme's secrets to the audience.
  • We succeeded but Esme turned into a Revenant and fled to the Underside, so we had to go after her and fight her. [ hastily amended: ] Obviously we won.

I got to do a concert! It turns out I can't sing.

Avaritia
  • Avaritia is the Layer after Invidia, and it means greed. It's a little similar to Invidia, but people care more about money there. There's a big bank and a casino.
  • It took a while to find the Authority. We had to chase a lot of rumours and lure her out.
  • The Authority was Greta, and she was the person with the most money in Avaritia. We had to take her money to get the Authority from her.
  • The plan was pretty big. It was fun. We split into three groups and staged two distractions while the third team got into her bank account. One distraction was making a big scene by winning at the casino, and the other was a heist at the bank vaults.
  • Greta turned into a Revenant after she lost Authority just like Esme, so we had to fight in the Underside again. We won.

Superbia
  • Superbia is below Avaritia. It means pride.
  • It's a high school. The school is big, but there's nothing else there.
  • When we got there, we couldn't go back up to the previous layers and we were stuck in a loop. After a certain amount of time, we would go back to when we first arrived in Superbia, and eventually we had less and less time before things would reset.
  • I'll write the rest down later. We only just got back so I'm a little tired and still trying to figure out everything that happened.
